When the first trees were planted in the transplant beds in 1976, Kathy and I could not have imagined that generations of families would make a trip to Maple Hollow Tree Farm the cornerstone of their holiday tradition.  Those traditions allowed us the great joy of raising our family alongside our customers’ families for fifty years!  As we celebrate this milestone, we are excited to pass the torch to the second generation; with our eldest son Jesse and his wife Jamie taking the helm, as Kathy and I move toward retirement.

Jesse and Jamie have been intimately involved in all aspects of Maple Hollow Tree Farm and have been working with us for the past 16 years. Together, they also own and operate Taproot Tree Farm in Massachusetts, where they grow trees for our fresh-cut lot here in New Hartford and create the unique  wreaths and holiday arrangements that customers have grown to enjoy and expect.  Their knowledge of the industry, as well as the art and science of growing Christmas trees has been key to our farm’s continued growth. 

Our other children will continue their involvement as well, each offering their own unique set of skills throughout the year and during the Christmas Season. We are grateful for their interest in keeping our traditions alive and thankful to all our customers and friends, both past and present, who have shared in the journey with us.
